2 Nephi 31 - Jacob 7

Jacob was born to Lehi and Sariah while they journeyed in the wilderness and was around 10 yrs old when they arrived in the promised land. He would have been about 50 years old when he acted as scribe for these chapters in the Book of Mormon. One of my favorite areas is found in the first chapter of Jacob where he speaks of magnifying one's calling or office.

"And we did magnify our office unto the Lord, taking upon us the responsibility...." Jacob 1:19

It is through this counsel can we truly provide the most service while experiencing joy through service to the Lord' church.
