Well, I finished another section of reading! I am on a scripture reading marathon to get caught up!
I found the construction of the barges that the Jaredites used to get to the Promised Land very intriguing. The Lord knew the kind of conditions that would be present as they crossed the waters and prepared them appropriately with their unique boats. They didn't have to steer them because the wind blew in the direction of where they needed to go. They were protected from the harsh and windy waters within their barges which were "tight like unto a dish". I found it interesting that when the brother of Jared expressed to the Lord his concern about how to light the inside, He asked him what he thought he should do. The brother of Jared then had to use his faith and knowledge and find a way to light the barges. The brother of Jared really seems to have been a marvelous prophet of his time... full of faith and a knowledge of the gospel.
Mommmy taught me about the Brother of Jared and his special rocks that were used to light the boats. I colored a picture of him (aka Mahonri Moriancumer... yes, I can say that word because I am a genious). Here is a picture of my wonderful coloring job: http://www.bubbleshare.com/myalbum/61428.651fcb039ff/overview
Hi hello! I haven't really left a comment in a while... so I figured I should catch up on that. Well, a scripture I really liked from this section was Ether 6:3, it talks about how the Lord made the stones shine while the Jaredites are in their little dish thing, I've always wondered what the stones could represent. The whole story of them crossing over the ocean is super cool because teaches us that if we have faith in Christ, He won't lead us astray.
"Can our hero prove who killed the mayor? Will he survive questioning from the fiendish Lawyers? Or is Zarahemlaopolis doomed to be destroyed? Return tomorrow at the same Nephiman time and the same Nephiman channel."
