Well, no one else has posted anything here so I suppose I will have the honor of being the first one. As I was reading 4 Nephi I was envious of those who had the chance to live during those 200 years or so of peace. It made me sad that they went bad again. All well.

Dadoo! Look I have made some reading progress and am finally making another post! I can see that Annie beat me to it... drat! ;)
These readings were interesting... especially because I just finished watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy again and I pictured all the wars and battles through the eyes of Aragorn and Gandalf. It was amusing. Anyway, I was most intrigued by the story of the Three Nephites, discussed in 3 Nep 28. First of all, it is amazing that they would ask for such a thing.... as great as life is here on earth, I know that the life after this one will be so much better, so it's hard to imagine anyone wanting to stay here for so many ages. I look at it as a true sacrifice for them to want to stay on earth as disciples and servants, to teach the gospel around the world. Secondly, I wonder where they are today? Do they hang out together often, or are they all doing their own thing? They must have some incredible stories to tell, having lived through so many different periods of the past till now. They must know so much and be so wise!

Grandadoo...
Because Mommy read about the Three Nephites in this section of the reading, she thought it would be applicable to teach me about missionaries, since the 3 Nephites are like missionaries that never die. It wasn't the most successful of teaching experiences, but I appreciated my mommy's determination. I learned that missionaries have to carry around special "tools" to help them throughout their day, like the scriptures, a planner, a pen, and a special nametag. Also, I got to take my stuff around the house "tracting". I learned that it is hard for missionaries not to spill their stuff all over the road and that finding people to teach can be taxing. The only person I found was daddy and he was in his pj's, reading a book, and not all that interested. Missionary work can be hard. You can watch a video of my preparation for a hard day of missionary work here:
